Dogwood Virtual Team Challenge Entry Form

Tournament Rules:

1. This is a virtual bowling event and a fundraiser for Dogwood 2024.
2. TEAM MAKEUP: Team Challenge will consist of four-bowler teams. Must be a rostered league bowler and not a floating substitute. The bowlers do not have to be part of an existing (physical) league roster team. Teams of four bowlers can be individually from different leagues and cities. For example, a team can consist of the following:
   1. all four bowlers on an existing league team (OR)
   2. three bowlers in League A and one bowler in League B (or any 4-bowler combination thereof)
   3. Bowlers who bowl in more than one league may enter themselves as additional team participants if they declare which alternate leagues they will use.
3. TEAM AVERAGE CAP: The maximum total scratch average of the four bowlers shall NOT be greater than 800. Any team entry with a combined scratch average of over 800 will be disqualified.
4. MULTIPLE ENTRIES ALLOWED An individual bowler can compete with as many virtual teams as they want. Separate team entry fees are required for each team on which bowlers compete.
5. ENTERING AVERAGE: Each bowler will use an entering average based on their highest league average as of December 31, 2023. Minimum 21-games. We will not accept composite averages or sports league averages. If a bowler bowls in multiple leagues that week, only the league listed on the entry form will be used to calculate a scratch score for their virtual team. Bowlers are asked to provide links or League IDs to access online league standings prior to the event. Bowlers without a 21-game league average will enter with a 240 average.
6. ENTERING HANDICAP: 90% of 240.
7. DATES & SCORING: Bowlers of each virtual team will use three-game SCRATCH scores bowled during their respective league night between Sunday, January 21, 2024, and Saturday, January 27, 2024. If a bowler signed up for a team and did not bowl that week in the league, their blind score will be used. Our Dogwood statisticians will collect scores based on online standing sheet access links or IDs provided on your entry. Dogwood will add respective handicap scores to the scratch scores provided.
8. ENTRY PROCESS AND FEE: The entry fee is $20 per team and is submitted only as a single-team entry fee. Individual bowler entries and payments will not be accepted. Team Entry submission will be online at Dogwoodbowl.org. For those in IGBO Atlanta leagues, we will have paper entry signups during league nights before the event and accept cash for entry fees. Otherwise, all other entries must be submitted and paid online.
9. ENTRY DEADLINE is midnight, Friday, January 19, 2024.
10. PAYOUT AND RESULTS Payout will be 50% of entry fees collected and use a 1:8 payout ratio. Payout will be provided two weeks after the the virtual team challenge is complete and scores properly audited. PAYOUT will be to the individual/captain who submitted the virtual team entry. They can disperse the winnings to their respective virtual teammates. Dogwood will not be responsible for paying each individual on your team separately. Results and scores will be posted on Dogwoodbowl.org.
11. This is NOT a USBC-sanctioned event. However, USBC rules apply wherever not stated otherwise in the above rule set.
