Tournament Rules:

The (virtual) tournament is open to any USBC/CTF-sanctioned bowler.
The tournament dates shall be February 1, 2026, through February 28, 2026.
Dogwood must receive payment of the entry fee ($20 total, $10 per bowler) prior to the start of bowling.
Bowlers who bowl in more than one league may enter as their own partner as long as they declare which two leagues they will be using.

Per Bowler Rules:

Scores used shall be the first two weeks bowled during regular league competition during the stated period of the tournament. The bowler will use their highest 3 scratch games of the first 6 bowled in February. (Dogwood will add in the handicap to the highest three games bowled.) If you cannot attend league on Week 2 for instance, scores bowled on Week 1 and 3 would count.
Blind scores will not count, only games bowled. If a bowler is absent for league play during the tournament and other February games bowled aren't available, their score for the game will be zero.
The entering average used shall be the bowler’s average as of 01/31/26 (minimum of 9 games required) on the league from which the bowler is entering. A signed and dated copy of the League Standing Sheet must be shared to Stats if not available online. If a current average is not valid, the highest 2024/2025 book average (minimum 21 games) will be used.
Handicap will be calculated as 90% of the difference between 240 and the bowler’s entering average. No negative handicaps shall apply.
For leagues that bowl more than a three-game series, only the first three games per night shall count toward tournament entry.
The Dogwood Stats Chair shall verify all the scratch scores for each game.

Per Pair Rules:

The maximum total average of the two bowlers shall NOT be greater than 450. Any entry with a combined average over 450 will be disqualified.
The winner will be the score containing the best 3 games of bowler 1, plus their handicap, ADDED TO the score containing the best 3 games of bowler 2, plus their handicap.
The payout ratio shall be 1 for every 8 entries.
